Phase I (150 ktpy) of Yunnan Shenhuo’s 900 ktpy integrated hydropower-primary aluminium project was powered up on 17th February 2020. After five days’ calcination processing, the electrolytic cells were formally declared to be online.
The project is located in Funing Country, and consists of two series of 500kA primary aluminium production lines. According to an internal source, the company intends to start operations gradually.
