China produced 13.94 kt of refined tin in November 2020, down 5.75% m-o-m, a decline led by shrinking production from two large producers in southwestern China. Relocation of the Yunnan smelter is underway, but the new plant is not yet fully operational. The Guangxi smelter has been on maintenance during November but now has resumed normal operation.

It has been reported that tin ore clearance at Myanmar customs has improved, but the growth in tin ore imports during December is expected to be limited. Industry insiders forecast tin ore supply will continue tight, and domestic refined tin output will be at 14.5 kt for December.
