25th February: Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Security Committee called an emergency meeting on safety operation inspection across the entire region, in a bid to analyze problems exposed by the mine tunnel traffic accident at Yinman Mining on 23rd February and to prevent similar accidents in future
The Committee stipulated that safety operation checks across IM will begin immediately, will cover 12 regions of IM and will continue until end-March 2019. Twelve safety inspection teams will be dispatched to various cities and regions of IM with a focus on safety checks covering the whole process of mining, traffic, and smelting.
