The 14th Five-Year-Plan for Energy Development in Qinghai (2021~2025) indicates that:
- By end-2025, 45.8 million kW of photovoltaic power capacity will be installed in Qinghai, up by 30 mln kW from end-2020.
- 5 million kW of wind power capacity will be installed, up by 8.07 mln kW from end-2020.
- Electrochemical and other new energy storage capacity of 6 million kW will be developed by end-2025.
