SMM: Several domestic lithium carbonate producers are under maintenance during January and February, curbing production by approximately 2 kt per month. In comparison, most lithium hydroxide producers are operating as normal, mainly driven by increasing overseas demand. Most downstream battery material producers will continue normal operations during the Chinese New Year holiday, with some even increasing their production upon completion of new capacity.
According to SMM, downstream battery material producers have already completed pre-holiday replenishment.
