MIIT published ‘Graphite Industry Production Standards’. According to the Standards, graphite is defined as: crystalline graphite (flake graphite), aphanitic graphite (microcrystalline graphite, earth like graphite), as well as high-purity graphite, expandable graphite, flexible graphite, spherical graphite and other processing products.

The Standards will be applicable to graphite miners and processors with details including: construction layout, process technology/equipment, product quality, energy, water resource consumption and comprehensive utilization of resources, environmental protection, safety production, occupational health and social responsibility, supervision and management.
