9th May: The local authority of Fugu Shaanxi called a meeting to push forward the implementation of retrofitting semi-coke furnaces.
The meeting determined that local magnesium smelters must submit a plan and time schedule for semi-coke furnace retrofitting. All single semi-coke furnaces under 75 ktpy at Fugu Shaanxi will be suspended from 10th May and subsequently dismantled in future.
