Shanghai Nonferrous Metals News

9th February: Ganzhou Tungsten Association announced that it will increase guide prices of wolframite concentrate by RMB4,200/t to RMB90,000/t.

JXTC raised long term contracts prices of wolframite concentrates by RMB 5,000/t to RMB 93,000/t, along with prices of scheelite and APT.

Some downstream producers are keen to build up their stocks of concentrates as they have orders booked through to May 2020. Strong downstream demand together with shrinking supply caused by electricity restrictions and maintenance schedules have shored tungsten prices as a result according to industry commentators.
