As of 12th January 2021, domestic wolframite concentrate (65% Wo3) prices rose by RMB3,000/t from RMB85,500/t in mid-December 2020 to RMB88,500/t.

According to SMM, many tungsten miners have halted operations due to environmental reasons, restricted electricity supply and maintenance prior to Chinese New Year. As a direct result, tightening concentrate supply has propped prices.
