5th November: Mainstream primary magnesium ingots were being quoted at RMB32,000~33,000/t in Fugu Shaanxi, with mainstream transaction prices at RMB31,000/t, bouncing up by RMB4,000/t from a low position last week.
Domestic magnesium smelters face shrinking profits led by strong production costs. Market analysts project domestic magnesium prices will hold stable at the current level in the short-term.
