Domestic magnesium prices fell rapidly amid weakening downstream demand. As of 8th January 2021, mainstream magnesium transaction prices were RMB14,000/t in Fugu Shaanxi, falling by RMB1,500/t from a high point before the New Year holiday. In Wenxi Shanxi, prices were RMB14,400/t; prices in other producing regions dropped accordingly.
