China Tungsten Association: China exported 1,456 t of tungsten products (in metal, excluding alloy products) in May 2020 down by 18.83% y-o-y; with a total value of USD48.81 mln, down by 21.25% y-o-y. China exported a total of 7,807 t tungsten products, and the total export value fell by 31.37% y-o-y to USD271 mln during the first five months of 2020 down 22.12% y-o-y.
According to the China Tungsten Association, the impact of COVID-19 hindered overall industry operations during the first five months of 2020, resulting in a weak market. Looking forward, with COVID-19 contained and production increasingly resuming, the China Tungsten Association projects the market will recover in September and further improve in Q4 2020.
