China’s imported bauxite inventory was 26.6 mln t by the end of January 2020, down 1.74% m-o-m, and down 18.64% y-o-y. Of this figure, imported bauxite inventory was 23.4 mln t in Shandong, 1.37 mln t in Shanxi and 990 kt in Henan, falls of 1.06%, 12.74% and 9.17% respectively. However, imported bauxite inventory grew by 25% m-o-m to 500 kt in Chongqing and remained stable at 300 kt in IM for January 2020, the same as the previous month.
