In June 2021, China’s lithium carbonate output was about 21.06 kt, up 0.8% m-o-m and up 42.5% y-o-y. A major lithium smelter ran maintenance and overhauls during June, curbing total national production by approximately 5%. At the same time, lithium capacities from Jiangxi and Qinghai have been on the rise, contributing to the overall growth during the month.
