China Customs: China imported 13.06 kt of tin ore and concentrates in March, 12.06 kt of which was from Burma with 3.1 kt of tin in metal, up 244% on-month and up 55% on-year. China imported 11.1 kt of tin ore and concentrates (in tin metal) from Burma in Q1 2019, down 7% from Q4 2018 and down 38% on-year.
China’s refined tin exports totaled 1.31 kt in March, up 187% on-month and up 102% on-year. China exported 2.96 kt of refined tin in Q1 2019, up 100% on Q4 2018 and up 51% on-year, which is the highest quarterly export volume since Q3 2007.
