MIIT: China’s total output of lithium-ion batteries exceeded 110 GWh, an increase of more than 60% y-o-y. China produced 450 kt of cathode materials, 350 ktpy anode materials, 3.4 bln square meters of diaphragm and 130 kt of electrolyte liquid during H1 2021, all showing an increase of more than 130% y-o-y. In H1 2021, total value generated by the lithium battery industry amounted to more than RMB240 bln.
China Customs: The total export value of lithium-ion batteries reached RMB 74.3 bln, a y-o-y increase of nearly 70%.
