China imported 3.75 mln t (WMT and DMT combined) of nickel laterite in August, down 23.6% m-o-m and down 37.5% y-o-y. Of this figure, laterite imports from the Philippines dropped by 23% on-month and 17.22% on-year to 3.38 mln t, as a result of rainy weather in the Philippines. There was also 80.9 kt of Indonesian laterite pending declaration at Chinese ports.
