China had 41 full-process TIO2 pigment producers in 2019, with total annual capacity of 3.8 mtpy and output of 3.18 mln t, up 400 ktpy and up 7.69% y-o-y respectively, represented by an operational rate of 83.68%.
Of the 3.18 mln t TIO2 pigment output, 2.54 mln t was rutile, accounting for 80%; 520 kt was anatase (16.29%) and 120 kt was non-pigment grade or other products, accounting for 3.7%.
Of the 41 producers, four are chloride process producers with total output of 209 kt, accounting for 6.56% of the national total.
