CNIA: China produced 29.24 mln t of primary aluminium during the first ten months of 2019, up 0.74% y-o-y. Mr. Wen Xianjun, Chief of CNIA forecasts domestic primary aluminium output to drop by 1.6% y-o-y to 36 mln t and domestic alumina output is projected at 71.59 mln t, the same level as 2018. Against the backdrop of a lackluster real estate market and a sharp decline in automobile production during 2019, domestic primary aluminium consumption is estimated to drop by 1.2% y-o-y to 36.5 mln t, indicative of a supply shortage of 590 kt, and a two-year decline.
