The 300 kt-cargo vessel RIGEL loaded with 275.2 kt of Guinean bauxite arrived at Yantai Port Shandong on 14th April 2020. Unloading work is underway at present. RIGEL is the first 300 kt-cargo used for bauxite transport from Guinea to China.
Since the COVID-19 outbreak began in mid-January 2020, Yantai Port has handled a total of 80.46 mln t goods, seeing a steady increase in both frequencies of arriving/departing vessels and overall cargo amount.
